The Fairways and Felts event takes place September 1-2 and is being held as part of the European Poker Tour (EPT) Vilamoura festival. It’s a brand new format where players buy-in or win a €1,100 golf/poker prize package (€770 + €70 for the poker, €260 for the golf) and battle it out over two days of action on the fairways and then at the poker tables.
Turn your VPP’s into cash!
Poker is all about the thrill of the battle and winning big. That’s why this month PokerStars is giving you the chance to compete for tons of added cash prizes with the VPP League. Simply keep playing the same ring games, Sit & Go’s and MTT’s (multi-table tournaments) you always have, but now you’ll be in with a shot at turning every VIP Player Point (VPP) you earn into your share of $45,000 in cold hard cash. The more you play, the more you’ll win. It’s as simple as that.
Here’s how it works. Every time you play a real money game at PokerStars you earn VPPs, which you can then put to good use as a member of the VIP Club. From August 9-September 8, all players that register for the VPP League will have their VPP total listed on a league table. All players that finish in the top 500 at the end of the qualifying period will win a share of a $40,000 prize pool, with an extra $5,000 split between those that finish in the top 50. This makes for great added value to all the games you already play!
PokerStars Balkan Poker Festival Golden Sands
Here comes the biggest thing to hit live poker in the Balkans - the arrival of the PokerStars Balkan Poker Festival. This prestigious event will be held in the Golden Sands Black Sea resort near Varna, Bulgaria, and you can win your seat online with PokerStars. It all takes place September 2-5, 2010 and will give players the chance to mix poker with sun and fun on the beautiful Bulgarian coast.
This is the first PokerStars sponsored tournament in Bulgaria and there is plenty to play for. A total of 200 players from all over Europe are expected to register for the tournament which has a €900+€90 buy-in
