Here’s the news for the week of May 31st at Stan James.

New Player Freeroll
For any new player opening a Poker account after 3rd May 2010 there’s €1,500 waiting to be won in New Player Freeroll tournaments. StanJames will reward all new players with Free entry to three New Player Freeroll tournaments, all with a €500 Prizepool. Players are invited to play in the first three Freerolls that will take place in the week after their registration. Tournaments will run every Wednesday at 18:30 BST until 4th August

Irish Classic Poker Festival - 16th-22nd August (ICP2010) – Cork, Ireland
StanJames.com is pleased to be associated with the 2010 Irish Classic Poker Festival and participating Stan James players will enjoy VIP treatment and exclusive entry to the StanJames.com VIP lounge for the duration of the event. The 3 day €1,100 main event will take place between 19th- 22nd August, with two starting days.

StanJames.com players will have 3 ways to qualify and play the main event.
1) Discounted main event direct buy in for €1,000 Euro (only available to costumers registered with StanJames.com for minimum 6 months) – Please contact the support desk to arrange, discounted hotel rates are also available.
2) The top six (6) players in ‘The Cage’ promotion for June and July will be given the opportunity to trade $1,000 of their prize for the €1,700 package (Includes main event buy-in, 3-4 nights' accommodation at The Clarion with travel & spending money)
3) Playing the $5 Bounty ICP 2010 tournaments. Players will be awarded with points according to their position, 1 package GTD

Freeroll Madness
Now instead of having just three Freeolls a week to look forward to, you can log in 7 days a week and find at least two Freerolls every single day!

€100,000 Guaranteed Tournament Final ever Sunday, with qualifiers running every day of the week!

Bad Beat Progressive Jackpot Tables
The Progressive Jackpot is paid into at predefined Hold 'em tables, the tables are a mix of Fixed, No and Pot limit tables, with a minimum size of $0.50/$1.00. A 50c rake, the fee, is taken on the pot when a minimum pot sized is reached. The jackpot amount will increase at a cent a second when there is no play. A real-time ticker is displayed in the lobby to track the progressive amount. The loser is the winner in these Bad Beat games!
