How to Play WCOOP Extreme Satellites
WCOOP Extreme Satellites start August 21, and run three times daily until August 29, with buy-ins starting at $5.50. To take your shot at WCOOP glory, register for the tournaments in the PokerStars lobby by selecting ‘Events’, ‘WCOOP’ and ‘All’ and typing ‘WCOOP Extreme’ into the Tourney Filter.
What is WCOOP?
Now in its ninth year, the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) draws players from all over the world to compete for the richest prize pools anywhere online. This year’s series will consist of 62 events played over 23 days, with a guaranteed combined prize pool of $50,000,000! All of the top online players will take part, as well as members of Team PokerStars Pro, and you can join them.
Last year, 43,973 unique players representing 140 countries contested the 45 events, and Yevgeniy ‘Jovial Gent’ Timoshenko walked away with the top prize when he won the WCOOP Main Event and $1,715,200 in first place prize money. Team PokerStars Pro also had a strong series, with Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier winning an incredible two bracelets, in the $530 and $215 No Limit Hold’em events, good for nearly $500,000 in prize money!
