Tom Dwan and 'martonas' engaged in an epic three hour heads up session last night on Full Tilt Poker, which churned out some memorable pots.
Dwan may have scooped the third biggest pot of the year - totalling $585k, but martonas fought back and recorded a $234k profit margin over the American hotshot. Debate still rages over his true identity, but it looks increasingly likely martonas is a combination of Martin de Knijff and Jonas 'nebuchad' Danielsson.
To the delight of the railbirds, a monster pot began to build with Dwan holding K

, and martonas 10 10 . Dwan raised to $60k pre-flop and martonas flat called. Dwan made an excellent all-in shove on the 3 8 4 flop, feigning a desperate bluff, and drew a snapp call from martonas. The 9
and 5 on the turn and river respectively brought no respite for the Swede, and handed the $585k pot to Dwan.
martonas soon had his revenge though, inducing a crazy 3 barrell all in bluff from Dwan with some sneaky check calling. martonas (K K
) flopped the nuts on a 3 3 K board. Dwan, holding 8 J, couldn't stop firing on all streets. The 7, 10 on the turn and river brought a $200k bluff from Dwan, and a casual call from martonas.
The next major pot - $428k - went the way of martonas. Dwan (Q 6) re-raised all in on a 3 6 5 flop, drawing a quick call from martonas (5 2). With the Swede counting on multiple outs, the Q hit on the river and handed him the pot. To add insult to injury, Dwan had hit two pair. durrrr could take solace in the fact he was still $100k up from the night, after punishing the likes of Patrik Antonius on other tables.
