Full Tilt Poker pro Phil Ivey has not sought the limelight before November.

With November not so far off the November Nine are getting a bit more attention, but the one that Harrah’s was likely counting on to pull in the most publicity has been out of sight. Phil Ivey, the so called “Tiger Woods of Poker”, must have made WSOP runners Harrah’s happy when he made the final nine of the main event’s final table. He is always a media draw, and making it that deep and putting himself in position for a run on the champion title should have guaranteed a ton of interviews and appearances, but so far it is a non-starter.

Ivey, already a mellow fellow who doesn’t go out of his way for the cameras, has not shown up on any big media outlet talking about the WSOP and his upcoming game. Perhaps he is just getting ready for the onslaught of attention that will hit right around November first.
