The WPT makes it to Greece for the first time.
Nenad Medic is taking names at the World Poker Tour’s first ever outing in Greece, with the WPT Cyprus event, not passing Day Two. The World Poker Tour Merit Cyprus Classic was a whirlwind of players busting out; such as the second biggest chip stack of the day, sitting in front of Jan Skampa, was reduced to the felt inside of a half hour.
But not all players were on the losing end of the deal – Nenad Medic, who has a WPT win under his belt already, starting raking in pots like it was going out of style, ending the day with three times his starting stack and the clear chip lead. He managed to do this despite exhausting himself despite a push-up prop bet that left him and Layne Flack with sore arms.
