Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi won his first World Series of Poker Bracelet in biggest event.
If Mizrachi was going to prove he has “the stuff” to be counted among the greatest of poker players he could not have picked a better event to do so. The Grinder, as he is so nicknamed, plunked down his $50k like the rest of the players eager to prove they are among the best, and then went to work doing what he does best – grinding away the competition.
Mizrachi had some familiar company at the final table of the $50,000 Poker Player's Championship – his brother Robert. Familial relations aside, The Grinder let no one stand in his way – he knocked Robert out himself in 8th place.
Mizrachi won nearly $1.6 million, as well as his first WSOP bracelet and the Chip Reese Memorial Trophy.
