The reigning tourney poker player failed to improve his record so far at the WSOP.
Phil Hellmuth started in the top 5 chip count when just 25 players were left in Event No. 8, a $1,500 no-limit hold’em event at the World Series of Poker, gunning for his 12 WSOP bracelet. He shot and missed, eventually busting in 15th place.
Naturally after busting out the infamous Poker Brat blamed everyone but himself for his loss, making claims of perfect play for 14 hours only to have bad players get lucky.
Hellmuth may not have his 12th WSOP bracelet but he does have the most with 11. Right behind him are a couple of other legends, Doyle Brunson and Johnny Chan, who each have 10 bracelets.
