Meet Mark Vos

CrunchPoker Staff - 17 Jul 2009

With inordinate sums of money being won and lost in the Full Tilt high stakes arena, it's no surprise personalities clash and tensions run high. Mark Vos and Patrik Antonius seem to be two pros engaging in a feud, with the former taking his beef to the twoplustwo forums.

To put it simply, Patrik Antonius is adored, and Mark Vos is not. Antonius, nicknamed 'Adonis' for his handsome looks, is loved by poker fans for his cool, measured approach on the tables, and willingness to satisfy eager railbirds by taking on Tom Dwan in the 'durrrr challenge'. Mark Vos is the antithesis of Antonius in both looks and playing style - the small ginger pro is notiorous for short-stacking the highest stakes and irking players with his 'hit and runs'.

According to the High Stakes database forums, Patrik Antonius has been quoted in an upcoming interview to appear in Poker Inside magazine as wanting to 'punch Vos in the nose', for supposed 'bullsh*t' he has been spreading. A confused Vos has subsequently posted in the twoplustwo forums, trying to clarify the rumours he allegedly spread.

His posts have been met with contempt, with readers mystified as to why Vos hasn't confronted Antonius in person. It's emerged that the 'bullsh*t' refers to allegations made by Vos, about Antonius and fellow Finn 'Ziigmund' sharing accounts.

With Antonius an integral cog in the Full Tilt clock, it's pretty obvious whose side the online network giant will take. With his participation in the 'durrr challenge', Antonius generates great amounts of rake and publicity for Full Tilt Poker.
