The world’s premier poker player Phil Ivey has divorced his wife of seven years, Luciaetta, according to TMZ sports.
2009 has been another splendid year for Ivey – two WSOP bracelets, a Main Event final table and peerless televised cash game displays. Not to mention the millions won online at Full Tilt Poker.
The man dubbed the ‘Tiger Woods of Poker’ has always refrained from discussing his personal life. Pokerroad’s ‘Life of Ivey’ series, filmed by close friend Barry Greenstein, offers the only insight into the day to day routine of poker’s most revered individual.
Ivey and Luciaetta, who were married in 2002, filed a joint petition in a Nevada court on December 22nd, which was granted today. Poker fans eager for details on Ivey’s net worth are looking out for news of any payment settlement. An out of court settlement, however, seems most likely. Ivey’s official tournament winnings exceed $12 million, but he has made millions more online and in proposition bets. As one of the founding fathers, he also has a substantial stake in Tiltware, the company that owns Full Tilt Poker. You can follow up the discussion on twoplustwo here.
