Ivey and Ashby dominate Full Tilt high stakes

Phil Ivey and Richard Ashby are the bullies in the Full Tilt PLO playground, recording profits in the excess of $900k over the past week.

Canny Brit Ashby is a regular at the high stakes PLO tables, and final tabled the Aussie Millions in January for his first major tournament breakthrough.

There was intense pre-flop action in a 3-way pot involving Ashby, Gus Hansen and Di ‘Urindanger’ Dang. With Dang all in for $72,000, the pot was already over the $200,000 mark.

On a K K 7flop, holding AA 5 2 Ashby shoved his remaining $25,395. Hansen snap called, having hit trips with his K98 6.

Despite having multiple outs to draw to a full house, the J and 3 on the river gifted Ashby the nut flush and the $268,232 pot.

Ivey, returning from his WSOP Main Event exploits, recorded a $928k profit over the week.

He scooped a monster $250k pot at the hands of Di ‘Urindanger’ Dang, with both players all in on a 7 4 8 flop. Ivey flipped 1096 5for the nut straight, with Dang showing 6 A AK for the nut flush draw. The J2 on the turn and river brought no respite for Dang.
