Swede need to recoup $2,803,253 losses

A little over a month ago poker forums around the world were going crazy for a mystery Swedish player going by the alias “Isildur1.” He seemingly appeared from nowhere, took on and beat some of the biggest names in online poker and then crashed badly, losing not only his $5,000,000 profit but another $2,800,000 besides.

It was no surprise that he took some time away from the virtual tables but it appears he has started to play again, though at much lower stakes than the $500/$1,000 railbirds were accustomed to seeing him play. Much lower initially.

He must have been playing with the last few dollars in his account as he was spotted playing $0.25/$0.50, buying in for 20 big blinds and leaving the table when he lost a paltry $10. However, yesterday he returned to much higher stakes, this time $25/$50 Pot-limit Omaha, where he made over $14,000 playing 6-max games before losing over $18,500 playing heads-up against “URnotINdanger2.”

Rumours are still circulating to the identity of “Isildur1” and where he is getting his money from, especially since well-known professional poker player Tony G disclosed in an interview that he planned on staking the hyper-aggressive Swede during 2010.

Can the railbird’s favourite return to dizzy heights of the nosebleed stakes and will he be able to recoup his $2,803,253 losses? Only time will tell.
