Tony G gunning for Isildur1
Last week Tony G offered to stake Isildur1 for a public TV poker game. This week he says Isildur1 is going to go for it.
It may be that Isildur1’s secret identity is not all that secret anymore. Many have come right out and said that the online poker player is in fact Swedish online big stakes player Viktor Blom. It appears the poker playing world may soon find out fact from fiction.
When the names started dropping for the upcoming Party Poker Big Game IV, Tony G announced he would stake Isildur1 if he would come out and play. No stranger to the drama that is poker, G also said that if the mystery man wanted to wear a mask to keep his identity a secret, why, that would be just fine.
As it is G stated recently that he has confirmation that Isildur1 will indeed show at the Ambassadeurs club in Mayfair, London between 11th to 13th April. Whether or not he wears the mask is up in the air, but truth be told, it might be one of the coolest things that happened to poker in a while if he does.
Not even the amateur robbers of the EPT Berlin heist wore masks, and they really should have (proved by the fact they are all behind lock and key now.) A masked man poker player -- especially one with the legendary playing ability of Isildur1 – would be just the ticket to get some attention.
Of course if he shows his true face there is still going to be plenty of attention on the Big Game.
As far as Tony G fronting the cash – the big man says he isn’t worried. He plans on taking it all back from the online pro in short order once the Big Game is underway.
