The Poker Brat and the Godfather of Poker will lead the charge for US players in the next World Team Poker event.
The Golden Nugget will play host to the World Team Poker Event on May 19th, where players form teams from around the world to compete for honor and glory. The captains of Team America have a combined 21 World Series of Poker Bracelets between them.
Phil “the Poker Brat” Hellmuth and Doyle “Texas Dolly” Brunson will lead the charge for the US. Hellmuth, considred the best no limit Texas Hold’em tournament player in the world, is the undisputed leader in terms of WSOP bracelets with 11. The only two men who are close to him are Johnny Chan and Doyle Brunson himself, both of whom sport ten bracelets.
Team USA will be a who’s who of poker pros, with Annie Duke and Howard Lederer – the First Siblings of Poker -- joining Allen Cunningham, Chris “Jesus” Ferguson, Jennifer Harman, Mike “The Mouth” Matusow, and Erik Seidel.
Other nations playing in the event are China, Australia, Israel, Vietnam, England, Brazil, and Greece Limit Hold ‘em, PLO, and No Limit Hold ‘em will be the games on tap with over 40 professional poker players competing for the televised event.
