Hansen feasts on Full Tilt high stakes

Aggressive Dane Gus Hansen delighted railbirds as he recorded a $900,000 profit over the past few days, giving him a $500,000 profit for 2009.

The past fortnight has seen the likes of Nicki ‘Kaibuxxe’ Jedlicka and Tom Dwan enjoy sick swings, but it was Hansen who feasted on the $300/600 PLO action last night, scooping several multi-way pots.

In a four way pot, a 2c 8d 3d flop saw Hansen and sunra18 move all in. Hansen, holding 4h 5c 4c 5s for an open ended straight draw, hit trips on the turn with the 4s bricking, ousting sunra18’s Kd As Ac 9s. Hansen collected a juicy $172,228 pot for his efforts.

In another multi-way pot, OMGClayAiken, David Benyamine and shortfineleg all succumbed to the peerless Dane.

A 5s 10d 7d flop saw OMGClayAiken (7h 8d Jd 9s), Benyamine (10s 7s 9h Qd), shortfineleg (10h As Ks Kd) and Hansen (3s Ad 3h 6d) move all in. The 3c turn and 2h river failed to complete the multiple wrap draws and gifted Hansen trips, and the $162,193 pot.
