Five times WSOP bracelet winner Ted Forrest has agreed a stomach churning $2 million prop bet with fellow pro Mike Matusow.
According to Phil Hellmuth’s Twitter page, Forrest (188 pounds) will stand to win $2 million from ‘the mouth’ if he weighs 139 pounds by July 15th, or $1 million by September 24th. If he fails, he must fork out $150,000 for Matusow.
This is next in the line of wacky, food based proposition bets amongst poker pros. The general twoplustwo consensus is that Matusow has bitten off more than he can chew. A highly competitive gambler, Forrest is considered the king of prop bets. But Matusow, who has undergone rigorous diets in the past, feels confident Forrest will be unable to sacrifice his energy in the hectic World Series of Poker period.
Highly critical of nosebleed stakes, claiming many pros are under-rolled, twoplustwo users have cast doubts over whether Matusow can afford $2 million. That said, he enjoyed a very profitable season of High Stakes Poker, scooping two pots over $380k from Daniel Negreanu.
