Next year poker player arriving at the Bellagio in April are going to miss the Five-Star World Poker Classic, unless they wait till May.
The word came recently from the Bellagio that the Five-Star World Poker Classic will take place in May instead of April. This means that the $25,000 no-limit hold’em World Poker Tour Championship event will run from May 21-27, 2011, but the big question is, why the change?
As the 2011 WSOP will begin the day after the Five-Star World Poker Classic ends, it looks like the Bellagio and the WPT are trying to catch poker player draw in by the gravity of the World Series of Poker for 2011.
Other Bellagio & WPT related changes announced include a discount on Bellagio Cup VI buy-in. The WPT championship event will drop from $15,000 down to $10,000.
