Finland Poker finds support from Playtech

CrunchPoker Staff - 22 May 2010

The Playtech powerhouse will be lending its tech to Finland’s online casino/poker monopoly RAY.

Raha-Automaattiyhdistys, or RAY, has entered into a  four-year deal with Playtech to build exclusive Finnish-language casino and online poker sites in Finland,  with mobile gaming soon to follow.

While most monopolies in European online poker seem to be faltering, the RAY situation in Finland seems stable – and has for the more than 70 years it has been in operation.

“By establishing a domestic online offering, RAY will be furthering its philosophy of responsible and trustworthy gaming,” stated Playtech CEO Mor Weizer. “The unique player-management tools we can provide will ensure a secure and safe operating environment in line with RAY’s core values.”
