EPT London in festival upgrade

CrunchPoker Staff - 14 Aug 2009

British poker players are in for a real treat this autumn, with the WSOP Europe and PokerStars EPT London festival guaranteeing a plethora of tournament action.

PokerStars have announced the expansion of the EPT London, which will follow the WSOP Europe (Sept. 18-Oct 1). The festival will commence on Sept. 30th with the 3-day £20k ‘High Roller’ event (won by PokerStars pro Jason Mercier last year), and conclude with the £500 NL Hold’em Shootout on October 7th. Other highlights include the £5k Main Event on Oct 2nd.

The event is taking place at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino, affectionately known as ‘The Vic’. EPT Chief Executive John Duthie declared, ‘The PokerStars.com EPT London Poker Festival will have a rich mix of games and buy-ins to cater to the most players possible in a compelling schedule - by poker players, for poker players. This continues on the fundamental programming shift made for last season's EPT Grand Final where we tried to create the best opportunity for all our players, not just high-rollers, to play a wide mix of poker games and formats at a variety of accessible buy-ins’.

You can qualify for the EPT London on PokerStars, with satellites running from as little as $2.22 or 11 FPP’s. You can view the full tournament schedule here.
