the durrrr challenge is back
The durrrr challenge was proving to be a bit of a damp squib until play resumed last night.
The 50,000 hand, 4 table challenge, which saw Dwan offer 3-1 on anyone that could record a $1 dollar profit, had petered out over the past few months. Very few hands had been played over the WSOP, and the euphoria that first greeted the challenge amongst poker circles had died down.
Going into the 800 hand session, Dwan held a commanding $800k lead over Antonius. However, the measured Finn went some way to restoring parity, earning $392k and cutting Dwan’s lead to $344k.
Antonius won the largest pot of the night - $170k – after all the money went in on a trademark, PLO action flop. After a $3,600, 3-bet pre-flop by durrrr (8

The 'durrrr challenge' is set to go live at the WSOPE, as London entrepreneur Sammy 'any two' George agreed to tackle Dwan over 500 hands and $500/$1000 blinds.
