CrunchPoker Staff - 19 Apr 2011

The WSOP (World Series of Poker) is world's richest sporting event and needless to say, it continues to attract the world’s best poker players.

The 42nd renewal of the World Series of Poker will begin its 2011 campaign on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 and will run for fifty days until Tuesday July 19 2011.

The WSOP is the most famous series of poker tournaments the world has ever seen and since Benny Binion invited six of the best poker players on the planet to play with him at the Horseshoe Casino in Las Vegas in 1970, the tournament has never looked back.

Players may qualify through the ranking system for a nationally televised Circuit championship bracelet event with a $1 million prize and victory in the series guarantees a place at the top table in the poker community.

The entire 42nd Annual World Series of Poker schedule, with individual tournaments, dates, times and buy-ins will be released in January.
