There are two parts to the prize package: one package for the 2010 World Series of Poker worth $14,000, and the second part of the prize package covering the next 19 years. The prize package is split this way because part two only covers the $10k buy in, while part 1 includes money for spending money and travel and accommodations.Starting May 24th players have two ways to win. The first is via Leaderboard and earning PartyPoints. After June 20th, the player who has earned the most PartyPoints will win the “WSOP for Life” package. To sweeten the deal for those who fall short of top position, second through fourth place finishers will each win a 2010 WSOP prize package, with cash prizes paying out to the top 500 finishers.
The second way is via a MTT event, run on June 20th, a $300 + $20 WSOP for Life Grand Final with the winner receiving the prize. Also places 2 through 4 will win a 2010 WSOP prize package and the rest of the top 50 will win cash prizes.
There are satellites and qualifiers running to the big MTT as well.
