The leading WSOP champion Phil Hellmuth missed again in his quest for a 12th bracelet.
During Event 41, the $1,500 pot limit Omaha high-low split event, Phil Hellmuth made the final table and the poker world perked up. This world champion, nicknamed the Poker Brat for his tantrums at the table, was hunting his 12th WSOP bracelet, but it wasn’t to be.
Hellmuth started in fourth place out of fifteen players, but in the end he busted in seventh place.
Steve Jelinek went on to victory and his first WSOP title. He is the fifth British champion at the 2010 WSOP, a record for the series. This is the first time in Las Vegas that any nation other than American has won more than four bracelets in a year.
