The Unibet Tour of 2011 will finish with a visit to Latvia’s capital, Riga on the 1st to the 4th of December and that’s snow joke!
Riga is well known for it’s partying atmosphere and with the Unibet Tour coming to town, that’s certainly not going to change as we head to the Baltic state with snow guaranteed!
The tournament will be held at Riga’s glamorous Royal Casino in the heart of the city, but even if you are unlucky enough to be eliminated, there is plenty to see and do such as visiting the Freedom Monument or the National Opera House. Of course, they’re sure that most of the Unibet players will be far more interested in the numerous bars and clubs that fill much of the Old Town…
With Christmas right around the corner they’re giving their Unibet players a special early gift in that the tournament in Riga will have NO CAP in terms of numbers of players. Previous Unibet Opens have always tended to completely sell out at just over the 400 mark but this time, they’ll hopefully be looking for our biggest prize pool ever!
So cap your year off in style with a visit to the winter wonderland that is Riga as the Unibet Tour finishes 2011 in a brand new location!
5% of the prizepool at each Unibet Open live will be withheld for this leaderboard which be paid out to the top 10 players with the most ranking points after the final event in Riga. However, you must play at least one live and one online event during the year to win your share of the spoils. If you want a helping boost as to push yourself just that little bit further ahead of the chasing pack then look no further – accumulating VIP points on Unibet is your friend. Each player who earns 10,000 VIP points in between events will pick up an extra 10 ranking points which could make all the difference in terms of where you end up on the leaderboard.
Meanwhile, don’t feel too distraught over your bad beats during the tournament, as the player who receives the worst bad beat during the 2011 tour will win a Rolex watch in recognition of their unlucky fate!
Qualifications satellites runs weekly but even if you can’t make it to all the tournaments, the live blog complete with photos, videos, tweets and comments will always be at
www.unibetopen.com where you’ll be able to follow all the action from the first dealer riffle to the final river card!
