The action kicks off at 1.00pm (ET) ON September 5th and the WCOOP will kick off with the $200 buy in No Limit Hold’em Six-Max tournament. With a $1.25 million guarantee, this exciting event is one of seventeen with a prize pool of over $1 million which is all on top of a sensational main event which carries $10 million in guaranteed money.
The WCOOP is one of online poker’s only series where millionaires are made and in 2009 the WCOOP Main Event went the way of Yevgeniy “Jovial Gent” Timoshenko who pocketed an incredible $1.72 million to his bank balance.
PokerStars is anticipating another incredible turnout in this year’s event and it isn’t difficult to see why with world’s largest poker room launching the world’s largest online poker series.
“In this year’s series there’s a guaranteed combined prize pool of $50,000,000 and you can qualify for as little as $1. Legends of the game will be made, fortunes won, and you can be part of it.” – PokerStars website.
