Norwegian Poker Championship done

Henrik Tollefsen took down the Norwegian Poker Championship, which was held at the Dusk Till Dawn Casino in England, for $124,000.

469 players entered the 2009 Norwegian Poker Championship at the Dusk Till Dawn Casino in England. Henrik Tollefsen defeated fellow countryman Orjan Skommo in heads-up play to take the title, the $124,000 first place prize and the World Series of Poker Main Event entry.

Simon Trumper, Dusk Till Dawn’s Poker Director, said of the series, “As it was last year, the Norwegian Poker Championships has been a great festival to rival any in Europe with a unique atmosphere that was enjoyed by all.”

Other victors in the series included: Andreas Hoivold ($32,500) in the HORS event, Oyvind Larsen ($47,000) in the heads-up tournament and Truls Hansen ($11,300) in the fixed limit hold’em tourney.
