In a football-esque clamour for his signature, Jeff Lisandro could be represented by British poker agent Nick Ferro and Check-Raise Management.
The cluttered tournament schedules and big sums of money mean that many poker players seek sponsorship or representation. Despite his superb WSOP exploits, which saw him clinch three bracelets and cement himself as the best tournament Stud player in the world, Lisandro has not been signed by a poker room. With his morbid dress sense, the Italian is a bit of an enigma at the tables.
Nick Ferro is looking to enter the international market of representation, as he currently manages some of the UK’s brightest talents, including Andrew Feldman, Richard Ashby and Jude Ainsworth. Ashby is a regular at the nosebleed stakes on Full Tilt Poker, mixing it up with the likes of Phil Ivey and Patrik Antonius. He also final tabled the Aussie Millions this year.
On the possibility of securing Lisandro’s signature, Ferro gushed, ‘I am as shocked as Jeff! He is without a doubt one of the best poker players in the world; he can play every discipline to a superb level, his record speaks for itself. If Jeff is willing to let us represent him, I'm confident I can get several offers....or I'll eat my hat...or his fedora! We hope to speak with Jeff soon, or sit down and discuss things in London at the World Series of Europe this September.’
